Which means four things:

To celebrate the fabulous refurbishment of our flagship Ecclesall Road shop (ok, it’s our only shop at the moment, but it’ll always be our favourite) we’re having a bit of a party this Saturday, 1st May.
There will be Bucks Fizz to sip (or lemonade if you prefer) and something to nibble on, but even better than free food and drink, we will have one-off special offers on during the day too. What could be better; you can see what you think of the new wallpaper and paint and browse our new season goodies whilst enjoying a little drink – and they will be offers too!
Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday to me. We open at 10am and we’re here until at least 6pm. We’d love to see you.

mookau has been open on Ecclesall Road for nearly three years now, so it’s time for us to give the shop a little bit of a spit and polish – we’ve got amazing plans for making the shop even more fabulous, that involve moving some displays, replacing others, having more of the things you love, wallpapering, painting and getting in our fabulous new season stock.
In order to make enough room for us to decorate and move everything around though, we need to sell lots of things because the storage room out the back is pretty small.
And that’s where you come in – we’ve got reductions of up to 75% throughout the shop – but be quick because the offers won’t be repeated! Once you’ve been and bought what you want at a bargain price, please tell your friends, because the sooner we make enough room, the sooner we can re-open your bright, shiny new mookau!
Lemonade and Cupcakes – this Saturday at mookau

What a fabulous start to March this is – bright sunshine and everything! Perfect weather for taking a stroll down to the shops. It’s the first day I’ve seen the postman smile for ages.
If you come to mookau this Saturday, March 6th, you’ll be in for an even bigger treat than normal because we’re having our ‘Wahey! It’s Spring!’ event, where we’ll be giving away mini cupckaes made by our friends at Fancie along with glasses of lemonade.
There will be special offers on the day, too, so do call in, and tell your friends – we’d love to see you all!
Christmas Preview night at mookau tonight

Just a quick reminder that tonight is the second of our Christmas Preview evenings. The mince pies and the mulled wine are ready for you while you browse our new Christmas goodies – we’ve got everything from decorations to stockings, to stocking fillers, to pink Christmas trees to watches to jewellery …
The preview is from 6pm to 8pm – come along and grab a lovely warm glass of mulled wine and browse to your hearts content -and this year you can be one of the people who can smugly say “I’ve done my Christmas shopping already’ when everyone else is just starting!

It’s hard to believe it, but it’s a year since mookau first opened it’s doors to the lovely folk of Sheffield. So to celebrate this momentous occasion, we’re having a party – and you’re all invited!
This Saturday, 23rd August, there’ll be bubbly and chocolates for all, as our way of saying “thank you” to all our fabulous and gorgeous customers for making our first year so wonderful. You’ll also have the opportunity to get your mitts on one of these specially made cotton shoppers – made in Sheffield exclusively for mookau – for just £3, or better still, totally free if you spend more than £15!

A big well done to everyone who took part in the Sheffield Half Marathon today and passed mookau not once, but twice, approximately 8 miles in to their punishing slog around our fair city. Having completed the Great North Run in 2003, I feel your pain!
Now, despite telling everyone who knew me to break my legs if I ever even contemplated running a half marathon again after my painful jaunt round the Toon five years ago, seeing everyone padding past the shop with fantastic support and encouragement from the spectators has whetted my half marathon appetite again. So Nick and I have decided that next year we will not be merely watching from the sidelines, but participants – and I’m publishing it here so we can’t change our minds!
