We’ve been waiting for these amazing stools to come in for ages, and they are here at last.
Each stool has four non-slip rubber feet, and would make the perfect finishing touch to any child’s room, or as a footstool for resting tired tootsies at the end of the day.
The toadstool is slightly taller at about 35cm. The apple is about 30cm.
We have very limited stock of these though, so if you want one you need to hurry!

Beads that are beautiful, and a bargain

If you haven’t been in mookau in the last week or so, you won’t have seen our fabulous new beads. Well, as if new beads in themselves weren’t incentive enough to come to your favourite gift boutique, we now have them available at 3 for £10. It’s the perfect excuse to fill your bracelet, or just to freshen yours up a bit. Our beads all fit on Pandora bracelets, and we think they look just as good. In fact the only difference we can see is that ours are 3 for £10! We have loads of different colours and styles to choose from, here is just a little sample (excuse the poor picture quality, I’ve only got my phone camera with me today!) 
Bank holiday Monday – and it’s almost sunny!

It’s desperately trying to be a nice day today – the sun is breaking through the clouds, and it’s a perfect day for a spot of retail therapy. So luckily, mookau is open until 5pm every Bank Holiday, so you can scratch that shopping itch, have a nice stroll in the sunshine and make the most of your bonus day off. Result!
New Bobbypin range just in!

And it’s gorgeous! Spot on for summer, this fabulous rose-themed range from Bobbypin is brand new and now in at mookau. This large handbag is my personal favourite from the range, but the cute purse and make-up bag, which both come with an adorable complementary felt rose hairclip, are equally divine.
Gorgeous new scarves from Lettuce just arrived!

New in today at mookau are a new range of gorgeous floral scarves from Lettuce designs, ideal for spring. Which seems to have arrived at long last, hooray!
It’s the mookau re-launch event this Saturday!

To celebrate the fabulous refurbishment of our flagship Ecclesall Road shop (ok, it’s our only shop at the moment, but it’ll always be our favourite) we’re having a bit of a party this Saturday, 1st May.
There will be Bucks Fizz to sip (or lemonade if you prefer) and something to nibble on, but even better than free food and drink, we will have one-off special offers on during the day too. What could be better; you can see what you think of the new wallpaper and paint and browse our new season goodies whilst enjoying a little drink – and they will be offers too!
Sounds like the perfect way to spend a Saturday to me. We open at 10am and we’re here until at least 6pm. We’d love to see you.

After a hectic week in which we turned the air blue but eventually managed to decorate the shop, mookau is now open again – hurrah!
We haven’t quite finished yet – we still have a little list of things to do, but we are definitely open, and with lovely new stock for you. Do come in and have a look and see what you think of our new look – and watch out for out official re-opening on Saturday when we will be laying on Champagne and strawberries for all.
Refurbishment a go-go

Those of you who have ventured down Ecclesall Road this week will have notice that mookau doesn’t look anything like as fabulous as it normally does. In fact if you’ve peered through the window you’ll notice it looks very much like a building site in there at the moment, because we are refurbishing the shop this week.
Work is well underway, and it’s all very exciting! We should be open again this Friday, so do call in and see what you think – we think it will be both the same, and better! When it starts to look a bit less ‘disaster at B&Q’ and more ‘amazing shopping boutique’ I’ll put some pictures up.

mookau has been open on Ecclesall Road for nearly three years now, so it’s time for us to give the shop a little bit of a spit and polish – we’ve got amazing plans for making the shop even more fabulous, that involve moving some displays, replacing others, having more of the things you love, wallpapering, painting and getting in our fabulous new season stock.
In order to make enough room for us to decorate and move everything around though, we need to sell lots of things because the storage room out the back is pretty small.
And that’s where you come in – we’ve got reductions of up to 75% throughout the shop – but be quick because the offers won’t be repeated! Once you’ve been and bought what you want at a bargain price, please tell your friends, because the sooner we make enough room, the sooner we can re-open your bright, shiny new mookau!

You know what, it actually felt like a spring day today. I went for a little walk in the Botanical Gardens and it was beautiful – the crocuses are in bloom, the grass is green and the sky was clear blue. We’re so lucky to have such a fabulous park so near to the shop – next time you’ve been shopping with us you should go for a wander, and next time you for a wander in the park you should come and see us!
