Christmas Opening Hours at mookau
0Santa is nearly here, but if you still need to do a bit of shopping this week then you’ll find everything you need at mookau.
We are open 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday as usual. We will be open early – at 8am – on Christmas Eve, and we will close at 4pm.

Christmas Shopping Evening at mookau TONIGHT
0Just a quick reminder that our Christmas Shopping Evening is tonight!
We’ll be opening late tonight, from 6pm to 8pm, so you can come along and enjoy a free glass of mulled wine and a mince pie whilst browsing our new Christmas range, without having to rush around!
We will also have all our decorations on offer at 3 for 2 as well as other offers!
That’s 6pm to 8pm at mookau, 391 Ecclesall Road, and it’s tonight!
Christmas Shopping Evening @ mookau, 2nd November
0We’ll be holding our Christmas Shopping Evening on Wednesday 2nd November this year, from 6pm to 8pm.
This is the evening when we warm up the mulled wine, serve mince pies and give you the chance to start your Christmas shopping with a bit of style – no rugby tackling in the queues, no endless circling waiting for someone – anyone – to free up a parking space, and no being thoughtlessly clattered by someone else’s shopping bags – just a nice civilised glass of mulled wine and the opportunity to peruse mookau loveliness at your leisure.
We’ve got loads of amazing decorations to make your house festive, including the ever popular paper chains, as well as all the lovely gifts you’d expect from us.
It’s this coming Wednesday, 2nd November, from 6pm to 8pm. The mulled wine and mince pies are free, and there will also be special offers on the night – even more reason to come along!

0We’ve had so many people asking when we’re getting our Christmas scented candles back in, we’ve got them a little earlier than usual. We’ve got all your favourite scents – the ones that really say ‘Christmas’ so your only job is to come and sniff them all and choose the ones you like best!

Keep Calm and Carry On Framed Print
0The original ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ poster was produced by the Ministry of Information in 1939, to be used to boost the morale of the public in the event of catastrophe or invasion. Two and a half million of them were printed, but very few were distributed. It was actually the third in a series of three posters (the other two being “Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring us Victory” and “Freedom Is In Peril. Defend It With All Your Might”) and although the other two were used, ‘Keep Calm’ was not. It was rediscovered in a bookshop in Northumberland in 2000, and the phrase seemed as appropriate 61 years later as it had in 1939. A bit of history there, because I thought it was an interesting story. Anyway, you can now get some framed inspiration from mookau for a mere £22. We’ve only had these in stock for a day, and already a customer has confessed to spending £60 on the same thing at An Inferior Shop.
